A Plague Tale: Requiem takes place in medieval France during the time of the Black Death, which was a devastating pandemic that swept across Europe in the 14th century. The game follows the journey of two siblings, Amicia and Hugo, as they try to survive and escape the clutches of the Inquisition during this turbulent and dangerous time.
